Seasons

It was another blur of a week. The new MAV(Mission Assault Vehicle) actually showed up! Not only does it have sliding doors on both sides, it is also a "plug-in Hybrid". That will be awesome if we can figure out a place to plug it in! The office Elders are excited to have two MAVs except we have to figure out the parking situation with these beasts. Driving in Barcelona is bad, but parking is way worse. Therefore, one of the MAVs is just going to have to sit and wait until the Area comes to get it. We had to take President's car in for warranty work. It would have been better if we could have done it last week while he was away, but we couldn't get an appointment until this week. That left his parking place at the office open so I could test out the plug-in feature on the Mini-MAV (also a plug-in hybrid).

This week was also the Mission Leadership Conference where all of the leaders from the mission come to Barcelona to meet. It's always fun to see these amazing missionaries get together. It's amazing that the Sister Training Leaders are all missionaries that came to the mission after we did. Many of them will be going home within the next couple of months. Time is really going by fast. Today, at church, the Bishop's daughter reported her mission to Rome Italy. It's kind of fun that she knows Elder McLeod (Tammy's Grandson). She wanted to take a picture with us to send to him. It really is a small world.

We are still keeping our noses to the grindstone to try to keep up. With all of these new missionaries, we have had quite the time getting, and maintaining, pisos for everyone. With the change in the weather, we will most certainly have to deal with "non-functioning heating" calls. So the cycle continues. One good thing that has helped is that with all of the new couples that we have, Brenda has been able to farm out a lot of "piso-checks" to the senior missionaries which helps. The down side is that they report problems back that we then have to try to get fixed. At least they can't fire us because slaves have to be sold!

On Friday in Elder Evan's institute class he was addressing the young adults in reference to marriage and family. One of the slides he had really caught my attention. It said "Your current season of life is sacred." Of course he was talking about the creation of families, but I realized that my season of life is also "sacred". Heavenly Father has me here now because there is still something for me to learn, something to improve, someone to serve, and more to do. If there wasn't, He would have already taken me home. I know that He is aware of me and that He loves me. Today in Priesthood meeting someone brought up Ecclesiastes 3:1-11. It really did fit in with the truth that I learned about seasons of life. So, I will try to look at the Season I find myself in as Sacred. I hope you find the sacred in the season of life you find yourself in as well. Have a great week.

Sorry, no pictures again this week. Slug-boy will try to be better next week.
